Company Description:-

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accountant to join the team in our Glasgow office.

The primary responsibility is to assist in accurately recording, updating and completing the accounting system ledgers, including the Cash Book, Purchase, Sales and General ledgers. The role also involves supporting communication via email and telephone within and outside the business.

Responsibilities:-

Duties include but are not limited to:-

· Raising and processing of sales and purchase invoices

· Maintaining accurate and up to date Sales and Purchase ledgers

· Reconciliation of Purchase ledger to supplier statements

· Bank reconciliations

· Payment system and credit-card reconciliations

· Producing Debtors and Creditors reports

· Preparation of payment runs for suppliers/contractors

· Bank account administration and some cash handling

· Record stock movements and raise materials purchase orders, liasing with the site team

· Producing information and reports for the company director’s day to day/ monthly needs

· Identifying areas where processes can be improved for better efficiency and performance

· Implementation of automation and systemisation of processes

· General administration duties inclusive of using Microsoft Excel and Word

Key Skills:-

· Skilled and experienced in use of Accounting Software/ MS Office (Excel & Word)

· Highly numerate, accurate and with excellent attention to detail

· Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

· Very good in the use of Excel and other Microsoft packages

· Demonstrable ability to work on multiple workstreams and achieve deadlines

· Experience of a customer-focused business

Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
