Production Operator – Signage Printing Department

Location: Calgary, Alberta
Company: Little Rock Printing
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week, Monday to Friday)
Starting Wage: $22.50 per hour
Wage Growth: Scheduled increases to $25.00 after 3 months and $27.50 after 12 months

We are currently looking for a Production Operator to join our Signage Printing Department, working hands-on with some of the most advanced printing technology in the industry.

Role Overview

As a Production Operator, you’ll be responsible for preparing and managing print jobs using ONYX RIP software, and sending those jobs to our fleet of Oce Arizona flatbed printers and Oce Colorado roll-to-roll printers. You'll play a vital role in ensuring output meets high quality standards, while maintaining smooth daily operations in our signage production area.

Key Responsibilities

Operate ONYX RIP software to prepare and send print jobs
Manage large-format output using Oce Arizona (flatbed) and Oce Colorado (roll) printers
Review artwork and file setups for quality and resolution before printing
Monitor print runs for consistency, accuracy, and quality
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment
Assist with post-print processes including trimming, mounting, or packaging
Work closely with team members to meet production timelines
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications & Skills

Hands-on experience with ONYX or other RIP software (preferred)
Familiarity with flatbed and roll-to-roll printers (especially Oce machines)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot print issues
Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Capable of standing for long periods and performing physical tasks
Willingness to learn and grow with new technology and processes
Compensation & Benefits

Starting Wage: $22.50 per hour
Scheduled Raises:
$25.00/hour after 3 months
$27.50/hour after 12 months
Overtime Pay: Available as needed
