Description
Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is a skilled nursing Facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Housekeeper who possesses the desire to care for Kentucky’s Veterans.

Skills and expectations for this position include but are not limited to:
Maintaining a clean, safe, orderly, comfortable, sanitary attractive environment.
Maintain records of maintenance and cleaning of assigned areas and supply usage.
Assist in the Laundry department as needed.
This position, in the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center Housekeeping Services Department, Jessamine County has an approved Locality Premium of $8.89 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

Working Conditions
May risk exposure to chemicals associated with cleaning supplies or burns in operation of laundry machinery.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
