Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Senior to join our dynamic team at Oakfield Park Accountants in Cross Hills, near Skipton and Keighley.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tax regulations and financial accounting principles, with a strong ability to analyse complex financial data. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with tax laws while providing strategic financial planning and advice to our clients.
Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Provide expert advice on tax planning strategies to optimise clients’ financial positions.
Analyse financial statements and reports to identify tax-saving opportunities.
Deal with HMRC enquiry letters as and when they arise.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate tax strategies into overall business plans.
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients.
Mentor and develop junior staff members within the tax department.
Liaise with HMRC, clients and regulatory bodies as necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior tax management role or similar position.
Strong knowledge of tax legislation.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
