Description

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Audit & Accounts Supervisor to join our Chester office. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career, working with a diverse portfolio of clients, leading audit and accounting projects, and helping shape the growth of a supportive, ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring high standards and adherence to deadlines.

Lead the preparation and finalisation of statutory accounts, along with related tax, VAT, and PAYE submissions.

Support and develop junior team members, reviewing work and providing guidance to maintain quality outputs.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive solutions and timely responses.

Coordinate workloads effectively, prioritising tasks and preparing deliverables for senior management review.

Ensure accurate time recording and contribute to successful fee recovery across engagements.

Key Requirements

ACA/ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience in practice.

Extensive experience in both audit and accounts within an accountancy firm is essential.

Additional Requirements

Excellent communication skills with a confident, client-focused approach.

Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple assignments simultaneously.

A team leader who enjoys mentoring and working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero) is advantageous.

A passion for supporting SME clients with practical, high-quality advice.
