As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our in-house design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of high-end residential projects—from concept design through to construction documentation.
Position Summary
You will be responsible for producing accurate and compliant drawings, contributing to the design process for pools, pavilions, landscaping, and outdoor living structures. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, local councils, and our internal construction team to deliver industry-leading outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed working drawings and 3D models for residential outdoor projects using Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and ideally VIP 3D Structure.
Prepare preliminary sketches, specifications, site plans, and drawings for council submissions.
Accurately interpret building codes, regulations, and local council planning schemes.
Coordinate with project and construction managers to ensure seamless site handovers.
Revise plans based on engineer mark-ups, client feedback, and site changes.
Assist with scheduling, project timelines, and document control.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 1 year of experience in architectural drafting, ideally within residential or outdoor construction. Experience with concrete pools and landscaping is highly regarded.
Proficiency in Revit (essential), with working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and VIP 3D Structure (desirable).
Formal qualification: AQF Associate Degree, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Building Design (Architectural) or a related field.
Familiarity with Queensland planning regulations, pool fencing compliance, and structural detailing is an advantage.
Strong technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication, coordination, and time management abilities.
