We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining our financial records and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements. You will also provide administrative support to help streamline office operations.Responsibilities:• Verify and process financial documents such as invoices, receipts, and agreements.• Record and allocate financial transactions accurately across accounts.• Reconcile and balance accounts while maintaining accurate records.• Perform month-end closing tasks and prepare financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.• Oversee cash flow management and ensure proper tracking of inventory records.• Manage accounts payable and receivable while utilizing multiple financial databases.• Prepare and process payroll, including administering employee benefits.• Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and support budget preparation and audits.• Maintain organized filing systems for financial and administrative records.• Handle office tasks such as managing expenses, processing mail, and taking meeting minutes for committees.
