Job Title: Property Management Accountant
Location: Cleveland/Akron

Pay Range: $50,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Property Management Accountant to support the financial and administrative functions of a growing commercial real estate firm. This role is responsible for overseeing property onboarding, lease administration, financial tracking, compliance, and vendor coordination to ensure optimal property performance and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the onboarding process for new properties, ensuring smooth integration into systems and processes.
Manage property-level budgets and assist in budget preparation.
Ensure timely payment of property taxes and maintain compliance records.
Maintain organized lease files and accurate lease summaries.
Oversee property accounts payable and receivable functions.
Perform annual property insurance reviews to confirm adequate coverage.
Collaborate with tax preparers to support annual and quarterly filings.
Respond to lender and partner requests for property-related financial reports.
Prepare and complete annual CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations.
Maintain and organize payable files for each property.
Track and implement rent escalations per lease terms to prevent revenue loss.
Assist the property manager with administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Keep current and accurate tenant information on file.
Regularly audit vendor records including names, mailing addresses, and payment details.
Request, collect, and distribute W-9 forms from vendors as required.
Partner with Community Energy Advisors to evaluate and secure competitive energy pricing.
Qualifications

Prior experience in property management, real estate accounting, or a related field.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with lease administration and financial reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and property management software.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
This role is on-site at the office in Akron, OH.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
