The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial aspects of various projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Duties
Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
Conduct regular account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
Manage accrual accounting processes for project-related expenses and revenues.
Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to track project expenditures and financial performance.
Perform double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records.
Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies.
Oversee payroll processing related to project staff and ensure compliance with corporate finance policies.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal stakeholders.
Skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accrual accounting practices and methodologies.
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is essential.
Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping techniques.
Background in public accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with payroll processing systems and corporate finance operations.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
