There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.

Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the shifts at Gateway Recovery Centre secured that you want.

Whether your nursing experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.

What you will be doing:

You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with Mental Health conditions. Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5 hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.

Location: Bennett’s Lane, Widnes, Warrington, WA8 0GT

You will be working at the Gateway Recovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility which provides care for men and women with complex Mental Health requirements.

The hospital is split into four distinct areas:

Male Autism Service for the challenging and complex needs of adults with Autism and Asperger’s syndrome
Assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex Mental Health needs and personality difficulties
Specialist inpatient service for older men with complex Mental Health and physical health needs.
Low secure care setting for men with a Mental illness with or without personality disorder/mild LD
