Job Summary
The Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track position in Phonetics at the Assistant Professor level.
Duties
The functions of a member of the academic staff include, in varying proportions
• Teaching activities;
• Scholarly activities revealed by research;
• Academic service activities,
• Supervision of graduate students.

Skills requirements
Education
At the time of appointment, applicants should have a Ph.D. in linguistics or a related field, with evidence of strong research potential.
Work experience
The ideal candidate will have expertise in French linguistics and/or articulatory imaging, as well as a strong computational background. The ability to teach in French at the time of appointment would be an important asset but is not required. However, active competence in French will be a condition of tenure.
