High Availability Database Administrator

Job description
We are seeking a Senior MySQL DBA to support our mission-critical services. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for the operation and optimization of MySQL Percona clusters to meet performance SLAs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure high availability and uptime of database systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot locking, replication, and query performance issues under load.
• Develop and implement schema migrations, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Script database tasks using Python, Bash, or similar to reduce manual effort.
• Monitor health and performance using PMM and Netdata, identifying trends and preventing failures.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience administering MySQL databases, including Percona Server and XtraDB Cluster.
• Proven expertise with query optimization, slow query analysis, index tuning, and execution plans.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL replication models, GTID, and clustering for high availability.
• Strong experience in Linux environments and confident with CLI-based management.
• Hands-on experience deploying MySQL in containerized environments using Kubernetes.
