Job DescriptionDUTIES: Responsible for SQL database production and non-production database infrastructure and support. Install and configure SQL Server Services. Architect, design and configure large, complex databases with replication and high availability on the most current MSSQL versions. Perform day-to-day production operations (incident break/ fix, change, service requests, vulnerability management). Automate the backup and maintenance of plans using third party tools. Create and manage users, roles, and grant permissions accordingly. Monitor disk space of all the servers and free up space as per SQL server. Apply Service Packs for the servers as released/requested. Manage backups and recovery on a daily basis as per request. SQL Server migrations and upgrades.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science or a closely related field. Five years of progressive experience in database administration role. Advanced working knowledge of: MSSQL Server; SSMS (SQL Server Management studio); SQL DBA; AWS (Amazon Web Services). Work assignments may be in various unanticipated work locations in the US.
