Job Description
SCIO Music & Art Centre “Nightingale” is more than just an afterschool program — it’s a safe space where children are seen, supported and inspired through music, movement, and creativity.
We believe extracurricular activities are not just lessons — they are a chance to heal, grow and shine.
Key Responsibilities
Lead group dance classes for children aged 4–16+
Create kind, joyful, movement-based experiences
Use creative, inclusive approaches — especially for shy or neurodivergent children
Help children prepare for small performances or events
Communicate kindly with parents and team members
Be part of a team that sees children as individuals and believes in the power of the arts
Requirements
Experience teaching dance to children (formal or informal)
Passion for dance as a healing and expressive art form
Friendly, patient, and empathetic personality
Ukrainian-speaking preferred
Conversational English (enough to work with team and parents)
Openness to working in a diverse, creative and inclusive team
Bonus if you have
Experience with charity or community-based projects
Experience working with sensitive or neurodivergent children
Speak more than one language (Ukrainian, English)
Can incorporate elements of storytelling, folk dance, or modern dance forms
