Substitute Teacher 8-11th grade

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a positive learning environment and the ability to engage with students across various age groups. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the classroom when the regular teacher is unavailable. Your ability to communicate effectively and educate students will be essential in ensuring that learning objectives are met.

We are seeking Online Substitute Teachers to support students in grades 8 through 11 at our virtual learning center based in Spring, Texas. This role involves delivering instruction, maintaining student engagement, and ensuring continuity of learning in a fully remote environment during teacher absences. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with virtual learning platforms and have strong classroom management skills in an online setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and digital content across various subjects.
Manage virtual classrooms via platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
Monitor student participation and engagement in live sessions and/or asynchronous activities.
Communicate clearly with students via chat, video, and/or email.
Provide guidance and support to ensure students stay on track with their assignments.
Record attendance and submit progress reports as required.
Uphold online behavior standards and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
Report any technical issues, concerns, or student needs to the appropriate staff.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED..
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a virtual classroom effectively.
Must reside in or near Spring, Texas.
Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Prior experience in online teaching or tutoring.
Familiarity with online learning platforms (Google Classroom, Canvas, Edgenuity, etc.).
Valid Texas Teaching or Substitute Certification.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
