Job Description
Sponsorship to the successful candidate for this position. Therefore, the appointable candidate will need to be eligible to work in the UK or have leave to remain in the UK and associated right to work for the duration of their employment with the University, in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.

Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing in the English Department, to start September 2026 and running for 10 months.
Creative writing is expanding at RHUL. Joining the CW team at an exciting phase of ongoing development, this key appointment will teach both MA and UG level students. The primary focus of the job is fiction. Experience in other forms of creative writing and the ability to teach them, though not a requirement, may be an advantage. The successful candidate will teach Introduction to 1st year Creative Writing, 2nd Year Fiction and take seminars on the Reorienting the Novel module.
Applicants should have a proven record of high-quality publication and teaching. The successful candidate may be required to teach BA and MA courses, and to supervise BA and MA final projects. The appointee will be expected to participate fully in delivering the Department’s objectives, undertaking writing, teaching, and public engagement. They will also participate in departmental administration as requested by the Head of Department.
