Responsibilities

Collaborate with product and gameops managers, engineers, technical product owners and other technical functions within the wider organisation to understand business requirements and define architectural solutions.

Lead the design and specification of system components, considering functionality, scalability, security, and integration.

Work with backend developers and central technical partners to design microservices and scalable backend frameworks on Google Cloud.

Ensure seamless integration of backend services, tools, and APIs into the existing Unity-based game architecture.

Offer mentorship on technical aspects to drive AI enablement, ensuring alignment with central platform capabilities.

Design and document architecture diagrams, API specifications (OpenAPI 3.0), and data flows to guide development and QA teams.

Promote standard processes in system design, performance optimization, and automation within a cloud-native environment.

Identify risks and mitigation strategies related to new implementations and effectively communicate to collaborators.

Stay ahead of emerging technologies, automation frameworks, and cloud-native innovations to drive continuous improvement.
