After-School STEAM Instructor
Location: Lafayette, San Francisco

About the Role:

Facilitate our STEM program, blending Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) for elementary students.
Create an engaging, hands-on learning experience that fosters cognitive development and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver interactive STEM activities that captivate and educate young learners.
Efficiently manage classroom dynamics and maintain an orderly learning environment.
Handle and replenish STEM supplies, ensuring they are ready for each session.
Set up student-friendly learning stations and implement effective classroom management strategies.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies for elementary students in an after-school setting.
Continuously adapt teaching methods and engage in professional development for STEM enrichment.
Experience:

Proven ability to engage elementary students in a hands-on, interactive learning environment.
Strong skills in classroom management, organization, and STEM activity execution.
Background in early childhood education with a focus on STEM enrichment.
Experience with the unique aspects of after-school teaching.
Continuous engagement in professional development in STEM and early education.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 2 per week
