Job Description
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Coordinator, Stadium Events & Operations will provide a variety of services essential to the execution of all events at Hamilton Stadium. The primary focus of this position is the setup, execution, and teardown of all HSG (Hamilton Sports Group) events at Hamilton Stadium. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for providing operational support for all other departments within HSG. Work hours will include evenings and weekends depending on home games and scheduled events throughout the season.
This is a contract position with the ideal start date being March 31st, 2026. The final date of the contract term will be December 31st, 2026.
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interview and hire the stadium operations team, comprised of up to 30 individuals
- Serve as the operations team leader on Tiger-Cats and Forge FC game days
- Daily management of the operations team, including hours, scheduling, training, and day-to-day task allocation
- Coordinate the preparation of the stadium for all major events, including but not limited to, corporate and community activations, in-stadium signage, and all specialty seating areas
- Setup and teardown all in-stadium meetings and non-football events, as outlined by the stadium calendar
- Coordinate all HSG shipments at Hamilton Stadium
- Oversee all aspects of stadium storage
- Assist with supervising 3rd party contractors and partners
- Manage Tiger-Cats and Forge FC cleaning calendars
- Supervise and assist with aspects of stadium parking
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Stadium Events & Operations
• QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE)
Job-Specific Skills and Abilities:
- Must be an effective written and verbal communicator
- Excellent leadership skills gained through past work experiences
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A strong work ethic, and the ability to work well both individually and with a group
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Passion for football, soccer, and the Hamilton community
• Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of applied experience in the sport industry. Operational and/or event experience is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing, business, sports administration, or other related disciplines is an asset.
• OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
• Will be required to work all home games, as well as weekends and evenings when necessary.
