Growing boutique law firm focusing on estate planning, estate administration and elder law is looking for a legal assistant/paralegal to join its estate administration team.
Job description
Handle all aspects of estate and trust administration including: preparing probate/administration petitions; heir/ancestry research ; identifying and transferring assets; scheduling and assisting with preparation of tax returns; maintain contact with family and beneficiaries; preparation of final accounting and proposed distributions.
Prepare estate planning documents including, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies and advance directives.
Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be well organized, detail oriented, have the ability to work under deadlines and handle many assignments at one time, as well as, adjust priorities as necessary; must have strong verbal and written communication skills; be proficient in Microsoft office; and must be punctual and dependable.
Minimum 3 years experience in estate administration/ trusts and estates.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
