Job Description
Saint Edmund Elementary School is dedicated to fostering a love for technology and innovation among our students. We believe that coding is an essential skill in today's digital world, and we are seeking a passionate and skilled Coding Teacher to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Teach coding concepts and programming skills to students in grades K-8.

Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and age groups.

Facilitate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.

Mentor and lead the school robotics team, providing guidance and support during club meetings and competitions.

Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate coding into the broader curriculum.

Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.

Qualifications:

Experience in teaching coding or computer science, preferably to elementary and middle school students.

Strong knowledge of programming languages and platforms suitable for young learners (e.g., Scratch, Python).

Background in robotics is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for teaching and inspiring students in technology.

Additional Information:

This position requires availability for one day a week, with additional hours for robotics club meetings, typically held after school.
