One Community Health (OCH) is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires 1 day per week onsite. This role will contribute to OCH by preparing and reviewing financial data, reconciling month end reports and reviewing and enter complex patient revenue data into the general ledger. Assisting in tracking the revenue, expenses, and invoicing of grants. This position is remote 4 days per week and on-site 1 day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare standard journal entries or monthly close including: depreciation, amortization, data imports, and various monthly accruals.
Update and track the prepaids schedule and amortize monthly.
Prepare investment journal entries.
Cross train to reconcile and import cash receipts and EFTs as needed.
Invoicing and tracking various grant related payments, ensuring that all payments are communicated to the grants team.
Monitoring assigned grant projects ensuring expenses and revenues are updated and accurately reported in the financial statements.
Ensure grant funds are spent and reported on time.
Enter accounts receivable invoices and reconcile the accounts receivable module monthly and follow up on aged items.
Prepare grant allocation entries and receive grant payments.
Invoice and reconcile patient payments weekly to ensure all payments are received and reflected in the correct general ledger accounts.
Prepare various monthly patient revenue journal entries.
Complete entries for Interest income and interbank transfers monthly.
Occasionally working hours which may include Saturdays, evenings, or extended hours.
Reconcile assigned bank accounts monthly.
Reconcile and provide financial data for annual audit.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience

2-3 years Accounting experience
Understands HIPAA and privacy laws and other applicable regulations.
Preferred:

Accounting experience in a Healthcare setting and knowledge of non-profit fund accounting.
MIP Abila accounting software experience
Understand and work with HRSA requirements and expectations

Compensation:

Salaried/Exempt: Starting at $60,000 annually, increases depending on experience
Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
