Job Description
Full job description
Macksville, Australia
Reference: 6804116
Full time, permanent position
Fortnightly rostered day off (RDO)
Salary range $1,792.70 to $2,075.20 per week + 12% Superannuation
Picture this: You're standing in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, where beaches, rivers and rainforests meet. The community is close-knit, the lifestyle enviable, and the work you do each day has a direct impact on the facilities thousands of people rely on.
This isn't just maintenance and compliance. This is about making sure every pool, park, hall and public space is safe, functional, and future-ready. It's about problem-solving on your feet, managing contractors, steering capital projects, and knowing that your work keeps a whole region running.
At Nambucca Valley Council, we don't see this as "just another job." We see it as a chance to bring your skills in facilities management and compliance to a role where every decision you make has visible impact, and where you'll be trusted to take ownership.
In this role, you will:
Oversee the maintenance, safety and compliance of a diverse range of facilities — from aquatic centres to community halls and camping reserves.
Manage and monitor key service contracts, ensuring high standards and safe outcomes.
Lead capital works projects that improve facilities and services for the entire community.
Be the first point of contact for facility users, contractors and stakeholders, solving issues before they become problems.
We're looking for someone who thrives on variety, brings strong experience in facilities operations or compliance, and is ready to step into a role where no two days are the same.
If you've managed contractors, coordinated projects, kept facilities safe and compliant, and you're ready for your next challenge then this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
The question is, are you ready to take it on?
