We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Trusts and Estates to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters, exhibit determination and perseverance, and find motivation and fulfillment in making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including tax minimization, creditor protection, accomplishing family goals, etc.
Draft various estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and more complex documents when required.
Preparation of gift and estate tax returns.
Handle trust and estate administration matters, including asset collection, valuation, basis updating, and distribution.
Represent clients in probate proceedings and provide guidance through the probate process.
Work closely with and report to the firm’s managing partner on complex cases and strategic decisions.
Conduct legal research and remain up-to-date on developments in Trusts and Estates law.
Collaborate with clients, beneficiaries, financial advisors, and other professionals to achieve client objectives.
Manage a diverse caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and client needs are addressed.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in Trusts and Estates law, including estate planning, trust administration, and probate.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Illinois.
Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centered approach.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
Familiarity with estate planning software and tools is a plus.
