The Role:

Carey invites passionate Junior School educators committed to nurturing and inspiring young minds to apply for permanent and fixed-term Classroom Teacher opportunities at both the Kew and Donvale campuses. Carey has multiple Classroom Teacher (Prep - Year 6) positions available for commencement in Term 1 2026.

Carey Teachers are professional people, and this is reflected in their teaching and in their relationships with students, parents and other staff members. Carey teachers keep abreast of developments in curriculum and pedagogical practices in the areas of their teaching responsibility as well as current developments in educational research and thinking. They contribute to the professional development of other staff members within the School by sharing knowledge, ideas and resources.
The Person:
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Teaching qualification
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of curriculum content, current curriculum approaches and teaching practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
