We are looking for an experienced and qualified Telecommunications and ICT Engineer to help grow the ICT offering in Sydney. You will be able to establish deep client relationships, deliver high quality service and challenge the everyday. This role offers the opportunity to work cutting-edge projects, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to creating inspiring, resilient, and sustainable building environments.


The Opportunity

Lead the design and delivery of Telecommunications Systems, including Structured Cabling, Communications Room Design, Networking Systems Design, Wi-Fi, DAS, Electronic Security, CCTV, Audio Visual Systems and other building technology systems.
Be responsible across the entire project life cycle, from client briefing, space planning and design, through to construction administration and commissioning.
Deliver complex technology projects across a range of markets, developing innovative solutions and delivering successful outcomes for our clients, our people, and Arup
Carry out QA checks of drawings and documentation completed by the team producing design deliverables such as Technicians / Engineers / Design Consultants
Be accountable for significant and complex activities or projects, requiring you to predict and plan future resources

Is this role right for you?

+6 years of experience as an Telecommunications or Electrical Engineer with a specialisation in Extra Low Voltage systems or similar fields
Experience in building networking technologies (e.g. structured cabling, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Wireless, etc.)
Familiarity with Australian and International cabling standards and specifications
Be skilled across a multitude of technology-related disciplines in the built environment, including IT Cabling Systems, Active IT Systems (networks), Audio Visual Systems, Electronic Security Systems, ‘IoT’ and ‘Smart Building’ initiatives
Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams
Experience in Data Centre Design work preferable
Telecommunications Engineering degree related to the role or equivalent experience in related industry sectors
WiredScore or RCDD qualifications are a plus
