Full job description
MacKillop Education Waranara School is an Independent Special Assistance School in Annandale. It caters for students in year 9 to 12 who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream education. The students referred to MacKilllop Education Waranara School have a history and/or ongoing experience of trauma, mental health and or other disabilities such as mild learning difficulties, ASD and ADHD.


We have 1 Permanent Full-time opportunity available based in Annandale at MacKillop Education Waranara School.



About the role:

The English Teacher will work collaboratively to develop and deliver highly effective and engaging programs that are suited to the diverse needs of our students and meet the requirements of the NSW English Curriculum.

Applicants with experience working in Special Assistance Schools in NSW and with programming and stage 6 experience will be strongly considered.


Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A four-year teaching qualification or equivalent and eligibility with a NESA Teaching Accreditation.
Demonstrated understanding of and experience in implementing NSW English curriculum through scope and sequencing, programming and assessments.
Experience in teaching diverse range of students with engaging lessons.
Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues to improve the quality of programs and enhance student outcomes
