As part of the NSLHD Casual Pool, you’ll have the flexibility to nominate your preferred facility, with opportunities available at:


Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) – St Leonards
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital (HKH) – Hornsby
Ryde Hospital – Eastwood
Mona Vale Hospital – Mona Vale
Manly Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice (AYAH) - Manly
Primary and Community Health- Brookvale, Hornsby, Macquarie and St Leonards
Each site offers a supportive team environment and a variety of clinical areas to match your experience and interests.


What you'll be doing

As a casual Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team. Casual pool opportunities are available in:

Emergency Department (ED)
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Neonatal ICU
Perioperative Services (Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics, Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) (Endoscopy)
Dialysis
General Ward Nursing (Medical/Surgical, Specialty Wards)
Primary and Community Health
This is a flexible opportunity to broaden your experience while contributing to high-quality patient care.

Please note: NSLHD casual pool staff are expected to work a minimum of two shifts per month to maintain their position in the pool

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:


Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Extensive post registration clinical experience within the acute care setting within chosen specialty.
Demonstrated effective communication skills with patients, carers, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Demonstrated commitment in providing person-centred and culturally responsive care.
Basic computer literacy and demonstrated ability to use electronic health information systems.
