Position Summary

The RN in our outpatient surgical oncology clinic plays an essential role in coordinating and delivering safe, high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the surgical care continuum. You will support pre-operative education, assist physician in minor procedures, and post-operative processes, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and well cared for.

Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus available!


As a successful candidate, you will:

Perform nursing assessments and triage for patients (surgical oncology, medical oncology and occasional diabetes patients)
Provide patient education on surgical procedures, post-op care, and recovery expectations
Assist with minor outpatient procedures and clinic-based surgical care
Monitor patient status during post-op visits and coordinate follow-up care
Administer medications and manage IV lines as needed
Collaborate with surgeons, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary oncology teams
Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic workflow development
Your qualifications should include:

Associate degree in nursing
RN III - 3+ years of experience as a RN
Current California Registered Nurse license
Current BLS through American Heart Association
