Job Title: Program Supervisor

FTE: 1.0 - SACSE Level 4

As Program Supervisor, you will lead, mentor and supervise staff to ensure safe, high-quality support for participants. You will guide and inspire the Social Support team to deliver engaging and enjoyable social groups for clients over 65, across our Glenroy, West Brunswick and Heidelberg sites.

YOUR NEW ROLE:

The Program Supervisor (SSP) is responsible for providing leadership and direction to support staff who work in the Social Support programs and in the provision of flexible respite supports

The Program Supervisor will ensure services are provided in a safe environment, responsive to community needs, compliant with Holstep Health policy and procedures, relevant legislation and current best practice.

The position will initially be fixed term to cover leave for one of the existing staff. Post the placement there is an opportunity to cover a planned transition to retirement for 2-3 days a week, with the option to permanent fulltime transition in January 2026

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Supervising staff to work in the programs
Provision of programs which are interesting, innovative, meet clients' goals and encourage social connection. Incorporate principles of co-design including feedback from internal and external referrers, clients, staff satisfaction and client surveys.
Participate in planning with the leadership team to manage the program, develop staff skills, meet program targets and increase the profile of the Social Support program.
Ensuring that the program is compliant with CHSP guidelines and meets all funding requirements, including Food Safety Standards.
Ensure that all documentation relating to client care is current and accurate, including the compilation of client care plans and individual goals and CIMS data.
Assist with managing the My Aged Care Portal for the Social Support program. This will include triaging incoming referrals to assess suitability for the program and encouraging them to attend the program
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Qualifications in an aged care related field with at least two years of experience
A commitment to Holstep Health values and philosophy, and ability to engage in the enhancement of Holstep Health culture in meeting organisational objectives.
Demonstrated experience and ability in supporting staff to deliver engaging and high-quality social programs for older adults.
Capacity to be creative and innovative in program planning to meet client goals and interests. Willingness to work in the program if required.
High level of competence and skills in word, excel and CIMS
Highly developed communication (written and verbal) and organising skills.
Experience and commitment to delivering high quality supports and services to older adults and their carers.
