At NeuroRehab Allied Health Network, we’re looking for Psychologist to join our supportive, values-driven team, based in our Thomastown and Deer Park clinics with flexibility to work from home as well.

The role is part time, 3 days per week. You can choose which days suit you the best, however, we would love you to commit to work on Tuesdays as psychology team meetings are held on this day.

A salary package of $93k - $110k pro rata (depending on experience) PLUS superannuation, PD allowance, laptop and phone.

About the Role:

NeuroRehab Psychologist Role

As a Psychologist at NeuroRehab you will be responsible for delivering psychological assessments and interventions including individualised therapy and practical skills building interventions. You will be skilled in trauma informed care and support adjustment to new diagnoses or acquired neurological conditions. You will also help participants build their capacity for everyday participation and optimise mental health and wellbeing using a range of evidenced based interventions in line with individual goals.

You will be working with a caseload of clients with a range of developmental, genetic, acquired, or progressive neurological conditions or neurodiverse learning styles.

The Psychologist will be working alongside our Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and wider allied health teams to provide multi-disciplinary intervention to support clients to meet their goals.

You will:

Provide psychological assessment, formulations and intervention to understand individualised strengths and challenges and help participants reach their goals.
Help participants with skills and capacity building and promoting coping, wellbeing, social connection and community participation.
Provide intervention for adjustment to acquired disability or illness and support grief and loss.
Assist with promoting mental health and wellbeing.
Work with people with complex support needs and liaise with wider care teams.
We are seeking applications for part-time, 3 days a week with flexible workplace arrangements.

NeuroRehab clients:

Our clients are predominantly NDIS participants, along with some TAC-funded and privately funded clients. Clients typically present with a range of diagnoses, including acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, neuro-diverse development and mental health conditions.

NeuroRehab clinic:

The Psychologist position will be based primarily at our Thomastown or Deer Park clinics. In addition to clinic services, the role may have Telehealth and/or a home-visit component, allowing for flexibility with diary management.

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements

Full AHPRA Registration as a Psychologist (open to Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists also)
3+ years of employment experience and able to complete individualised interventions as well as psychological assessments
Experience providing trauma-informed care and/or with complex trauma presentations
Experience providing interventions for adjustment, grief and loss
Driver's license.
Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working With Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening checks prior to appointment.
Desirable:

Experience in working with clients with health or neurological conditions, disability and/or neurodiversity.
Previous experience providing services within a NDIS framework.
Neurodiversity affirming practice
Previous experience in Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.
Up to date with Covid-19 and influenza vaccination status
