Role Purpose


At Yarra Trams, we’re committed to delivering world-class transport services. As a Data Analyst, you’ll help drive smarter decision-making by improving how we manage and use data across the business.

You will contribute to this by:


Turning complex data into clear, actionable insights
Building dashboards and reports that support smarter decisions
Collaborating across teams to improve data consistency
Supporting OCMS with data-driven solutions and improvements
Communicating insights in a way that’s easy to understand
Driving data quality and accuracy across systems
Identifying opportunities to improve how we use data

Key Accountabilities


In this role, you will:


Map Yarra Trams data to Transmodel standards
Analyse large, multi-source datasets to uncover insights
Develop and apply data quality metrics and standards
Build models, dashboards, and reports for OCMS stakeholders
Design and run A/B tests to evaluate strategies
Translate data into clear recommendations for all audiences
Share best practices across Yarra Trams data teams
Support project planning and delivery with OCMS and vendors

Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in IT, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

Experience & Knowledge


To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:


Proven experience in IT or data analysis roles
Strong skills in SQL, Excel, and Power BI
Experience with XML and business process analysis
Ability to spot trends and patterns in complex data
Knowledge of data modelling and database design
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A collaborative mindset and cross-functional teamwork experience
