The Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join Notting Hill and Ealing High School. Under the leadership of our new Head, Allison Saunders, the Deputy Head (Academic) will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the school. As Deputy Head (Academic) you will be part of our dynamic, collaborative and forward-thinking Leadership Team, working alongside some of the most dedicated teachers in the country and a student community of curious, engaged and grounded young women.

Reporting directly to the Head, the Deputy Head (Academic) will lead and manage academic life at NHEHS and be responsible for shaping and implementing our academic strategy.


The Role
As a key member of SLT, the Deputy Head (Academic) will play an active role in planning for future change and development within the school, in line with the school’s stated objectives. They will be innovative in approach and be active in seeking ways to ensure that the academic provision is a leading example of girls’ education in the sector. They will promote a happy, purposeful working atmosphere for girls and staff, attend school events and play a visible role in the leadership of the community.

The School
Notting Hill & Ealing High School is one of the 26 schools and academies of The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), the UK’s leading network of independent girls’ schools. Founded in 1873, Notting Hill & Ealing School is the oldest school in the Trust, and almost 150 years after its inception it holds true to the pioneering beliefs of its founders.
