Software Engineer – Manufacturing Management Systems

About the Role
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Software Engineer - Manufacturing Management System located in Greater Melbourne Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software systems for manufacturing management. Day-to-day tasks include coding, debugging, and optimizing software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and implement requirements, and ensuring the effective performance of the manufacturing management system.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and optimize MMS features, tools, and processes.
Build and maintain web applications using .NET and ColdFusion.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues promptly.
Participate in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Analyze user/business needs and implement system enhancements.
Stay current with industry technologies and best practices.
Support ERP (JDE/others) integration and web services.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Minimum 3+ years of ColdFusion experience.
Strong UI development skills: jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Proficiency in:
.NET, RESTful APIs, Git, Azure DevOps
MS SQL Server, Entity Framework, SSIS
Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Microservices, ASP.NET, Razor Pages
Experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred).
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
