Content Trainee - Travel / Leisure

Job description
Travel + Leisure India is searching for fresh talented writers with keen interest in covering travel and food across India and Southeast Asia. Reporting to the Senior Editor – Digital Growth, the candidate will assist with daily editorial tasks for all six regions of Travel+Leisure Asia, achieve digital KPIs and create high-quality content for our readers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Help with editorial tasks for all six Travel+Leisure Asia regions
• Coming up with story ideas and angles for the different verticals (mainly travel and food) keeping aspects like brand positioning and traffic generation in mind
• Reacting to news events and pushing out timely breaking news on all channels

QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English
• Keen interest and knowledge of travel industry; knowledge of the regional travel and wellness landscape is a plus
• Degree in Journalism or similar level academic achievement.
• Detail-oriented, resourceful and can work fast under daily deadlines
• Social media-savvy and always staying on top of trending topics
• Working knowledge of image editing software
