[Remote] Controller | Hyperscaling SaaS start-up

Job description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mansfield Black is supporting a VC backed SaaS business that has developed a workflow AI platform aimed at enterprise clients. They are seeking a Controller who will lead and scale the accounting function, ensuring operational and financial best practices while overseeing all reporting, processes, controls, and systems.

Responsibilities
• Lead and scale the accounting function at a high-growth SaaS company, overseeing all reporting, processes, controls, and systems. (audit, revenue, treasury, reporting, forecasting etc)
• Implement systems to improve efficiency, shorten close cycles, and support growth with scalable, automated processes.
• Own and optimize month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate internal/external reporting.
• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team

Skills
• CPA / ACA from Big 4 | 10- 22 Years Post Qualified (Big 4 experience essential)
• Very hands on role - still want to get into the weeds whilst hands on leading this
• Post Qualified experience in high Velocity/ VC SaaS start up with ideally know logo
• Have experienced high / hyper growth and funding -i.e started Series A, now Series D. Or perhaps Series C - post IPO
• Owned the first year audit process
• Have already set up functions and scaled teams - proven ability to think strategically but also experience and understand high volume growth so able to clearly articulate and give opinions
• Design processes, implemented systems and tools
