Construction Labourer with Carpentry

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer with Carpentry to assist with a commercial construction project in Scarborough, Ontario. Successful candidates will support site operations by performing a variety of physical tasks, including material handling, site preparation, demolition, and assisting skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons.

As a Construction Labourer, you will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and organized work environment by adhering to all company safety protocols, reporting hazards, and ensuring compliance with construction site regulations. Your role will be essential in keeping projects on schedule and contributing to the overall success of our construction team.

DUTIES

Perform general construction duties, including site cleanup, material handling, and equipment setup.
Assist with carpentry tasks and use of construction tools (experience is an asset).
Support the Site Supervisor with daily tasks and project coordination.
Participate in company OHS program and conduct hazard assessments.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a secure worksite.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must have experience with remediation procedures for asbestos and other hazardous materials.
Prior experience in construction or general labour is an asset.
Must have carpentry experience, rough, backing and blocking
Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work weekends, overtime and night shifts as required.
