Job description
Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead and manage the entire finance & accounts function for The Sports Gurukul. Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Strategy
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans aligned with business goals.
- Provide financial insights for strategic decisions, pricing models, and cost optimization.
- Monitor key financial KPIs and guide management on financial health.

2. Accounting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Oversee statutory compliance: GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, ROC filings, and Income Tax returns.
- Liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits and compliance.

3. Financial Control & Risk Management
- Develop internal controls and SOPs to ensure zero leakages and financial discipline.
- Review vendor contracts, payments, and collections for efficiency and compliance.
- Implement cost controls and identify revenue leakages.

4. MIS & Reporting
- Deliver timely monthly MIS reports, profitability analysis, and variance reports.
- Provide investor-ready financial reports, presentations, and dashboards.
- Maintain transparency in reporting for management and stakeholders.

5. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and upskill the accounts team.
- Work closely with operations, HR, and sales teams to align financial processes with business needs.
- Train internal teams on financial awareness and cost control.

The ideal candidate should have:

Key Skills & Attributes:

1. Strong knowledge of Indian taxation, accounting standards, and compliance.
2. Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability.
3. Proficiency in Tally and working knowledge of Zoho Books is a strong advantage.
4. Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills.
5. High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
