Full job description
Te Tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for an intern to join our banking and revenue team. You’ll learn how payments are processed, how rates are managed, and how we support customers with their accounts. If you’re interested in finance and enjoy working with systems and people, this is a great opportunity to build your skills.

What You’ll Do

Learn how payments flow through our banking systems and get recorded
Help with refunds, account reconciliations, and internal transfers
Support updates to our databases and respond to banking queries
Gain experience working with customers and helping set up payment plans

Who We’re Looking For

You might be studying finance, accounting, or a related field. You’re probably someone who:

Has some experience working with the public
Picks up new systems and software quickly
Communicates clearly and works well in a team
Is organised and pays attention to detail

What You’ll Get

You’ll be supported by experienced team members and get hands-on experience with real banking processes. By the end of the internship, you’ll understand how council payments and rates work, and have practical experience to support your future career.
