We are a small, locally owned IKEA kitchen design and installation business serving the Okanagan. Our focus is on helping clients create functional, beautiful spaces using IKEA products, from design through to install. We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented installer to join our team on a subcontract basis.

Job Overview
We’re looking for a skilled subcontractor to bring our IKEA kitchen designs to life. This role is hands-on. You’ll be leveling and shimming cabinets, installing doors, drawers, panels, and trim, and making sure everything is prepped and ready for countertops. You should enjoy problem-solving on site, working with precision, and leaving a space looking clean and finished.

Because most of our work takes place in clients’ homes, professionalism is key. We expect you to be respectful, tidy, and approachable while on site, and to treat each home with care.

Duties

Install, level, and shim cabinet support rails and cabinets
Prepare cabinets for countertop installation, including installing IKEA wood veneer countertops
Install cabinet doors, drawers, shelves, interior fittings, and IKEA cabinet lighting (if applicable)
Cut and install panels, decorative trim, filler pieces, and toe kicks
Make precise cuts for a clean, professional finish
Maintain a tidy and safe work area throughout the project
Assemble components accurately according to specifications.
Handle heavy lifting during installations and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Experience

Proven experience installing IKEA or modular cabinets (kitchen or bath)
Strong skills in leveling, shimming, and precision cutting
Ability to read and follow design layouts accurately
Your own tools and reliable transportation
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Job Types: Casual, Freelance

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
