Job description
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Full Sutton, Moor Lane, Full Sutton, York YO41 1PS.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday; 08:00 - 16:00 Friday to Sunday. There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

What you will do:
• Routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Mains water supply repairs.
• Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
• Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.

What you will bring:
• Full driving licence
• Experience in a commercial environment is desirable
• Experience in operating light plant
• NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating is preferred (we may consider NVQ level 2)
• Legionella Control (L8) is desirable

We are looking for a talented and passionate Multi-Skilled Plumber to join our dynamic team. As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering top quality reactive maintenance and planned work tasks to our clients in the local authority, educational, retail and private sector. With your excellent customer service skills and attention to detail, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that every client is satisfied with our work.

What you’ll bring to the table:
• Experience in FM with a background in retail and public building sectors.
• Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in plumbing.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Handyman experience preferred.
• Possess a valid clean UK driving licence.
• ECS/CSCS Card certification preferred.
• IPAF & BAND certifications preferred.
• Prioritse safety and quality in all your work.
• Meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Keep accurate records of completed tasks.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rota (Monday to Monday) with a frequency of no more than once every four weeks.
• Bring a passion for exceptional customer services.
• Always represent the company professionally and courteously.
• Flexibility, as some out-of-hours work may be necessary.
