Location: Derby, DE74 2BB
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (experience-dependent)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
Holiday: 25 days annual leave

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Static Commercial Plumber to join our facilities management team at a large, high-profile distribution site in Derby. This is a crucial role responsible for the day-to-day plumbing maintenance, reactive repairs, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of all plumbing and mechanical systems across the site.

As a static plumber, you will work exclusively at this single location, becoming an integral part of the on-site team. You will ensure that all plumbing systems are operating safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out a full range of commercial plumbing tasks, including reactive and planned maintenance.
• Conduct fault-finding, repair, and installation work on a variety of systems, including boilers, pumps, valves, pipework, drainage, water systems, and associated plant.
• Work with commercial appliances and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, urinals, and hot water heaters.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all completed work using a Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
• Respond promptly to emergency plumbing issues and call-outs.
• Collaborate with other on-site engineers and specialist contractors to deliver a seamless service.
• Support other mechanical and building services as required to meet site needs.

Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Commercial Plumber in a similar environment.
• Relevant plumbing qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating or an equivalent City & Guilds certification.
• Solid knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, building regulations, and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Competent with IT and mobile devices for record-keeping and reporting.
