Job description
Title: Pipe Fitter / Commercial Plumber (Experienced or Trainee levels)

Location: South London, Sussex and Surrey

Offer: £30,000 – £38,000 (Overtime, 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Company Van + Fuel

Mobile Phone and 40 hours per week)

Pipe Fitter / Commercial Plumber required working for an established HVAC and Building Maintenance company based in Surrey. The Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter will be working on industrial and commercial projects throughout the Surrey and London; typical projects include working on refurbishments or new builds of schools, colleges, universities, offices or other local authority premises.

They would consider:

Mates, Improver or fully qualified Plumbers with an understanding of pipe fitting, preferably push fit pipework.

Day to Day:

A typical day for the Pipe Fitter would attending commercial and industrial sites which are typically in London / Surrey / Kent. Working within teams of 3 -5 engineers and sub-contractors, dismantling commercial heating systems for replacement or upgrading old pipework to new pushfit pipes for old heating systems. Then the installation of all new pipework, including installing the central heating systems or boilers, radiators and associated systems and recommissioning the heating system.

Knowledge and Experience required:

Knowledge of Heating systems, domestic hot and cold within the commercial and industrial plumbing arena would be an advantage but not an essential as they’re happy to train people up. The Pipe Fitter must have experience and a proven background of Pipe fitting most importantly Press fit Pipework. Steel and MMA welding would be an advantage.

It is expected that the Pipe Fitter / Commercial Plumber will hold formal plumbing qualifications or specific pipework or pipe fitting tickets. Gas Safe tickets (valid or expired) would be an advantage.

Position Requirements:
• FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE IS ESSENTIAL

Experience as plumber, mate, improver or pipefitter with Pipe fitting steel, and most importantly Press fit Pipework or commercial plumbing would be essential

Gas Safe or heating experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Based around South London / Surrey / Sussex area
