Job Description
He aha te tūranga - About the role:

The newly created Training Delivery Lead roles will report into the National Training Delivery Manager and will each be assigned a distinct district. You will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of tutors to deliver high-quality, compliant, and engaging training within your assigned district.

Your role will be to ensure that tutors maintain appropriate qualifications, engage in ongoing professional development, and consistently apply best practice training to enhance learner outcomes. You will act as the first point of support for tutors, resolving day-to-day issues and concerns while providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their performance and professional growth.

Additionally, you will:

Plan and deliver first aid courses while ensuring a professional, engaging, and high-quality learning experience that meets the diverse needs of learners within nationally prescribed programmes.
Ensure training delivery meets national standards by supporting tutor performance, conducting observations and moderation, and aligning team and individual development with the Training Capability Framework.
Support the recruitment, induction, and onboarding of new tutors, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver high-quality training.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment, recognising and responding to the diverse cultural needs of learners, including Māori, Pasifika, and other ethnic groups, ensuring that all learners feel respected and empowered to participate.
Prepare, check, and maintain training resources and equipment, including vehicles and training rooms, in accordance with organisational standards, ensuring they are ready and in optimal condition for all training sessions.
Stay current with industry trends, policies, and adult learning practices, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards, including NZQA requirements, and ensuring continuous professional development.
Model positive leadership and champion a culture of inclusivity, ensuring that team members from all backgrounds thrive, feel valued, heard, and given equal opportunities to succeed.
