Full job description
Dedicated Painter Limited is looking for professional painters to delivery excillent residential and commercial painting services to our clients in Auckland region.

Pay rate: $30 – 32 per hour.
Region: Auckland
Position: Full-time Painter
Minimum guaranteed hours of work per week: 30 hours.
Maximum hours of work per week: 40 hours.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Protected surfaces from damage and spills by using drop cloths prior to and during painting. • Painted surfaces using brushes, spray guns, and paint rollers.
Painted indoor areas such as hallways, bathrooms, and lobbies, bedrooms, windows, doors, kitchen,etc... • Painted outdoor areas such as decks, fences, roofs, exterior parts.
Repaired wall holes and scrapes.
Mixed, matched and blended colors to produce desired effects.
Followed safety procedures and properly used protective gear while painting.
Selected appropriate type of paint and other materials for specific surfaces.
Removed wallpaper and sanded surfaces to prepare for paint application.
Calculated amount of paint and other materials needed for each job accurately.
Repaired drywall and plaster prior to painting.
Evaluated completed work for quality and adherence to standards and client requirements.
Conducted final work check to assess quality and make corrections if necessary.
Climbed scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks to reach work area surfaces and observed safety protocols to prevent falls.
Prepared surfaces for painting or staining by removing old paint and applying primers.
Interacted with clients to report progress and verify timetable for completed work.
Minimum qualification and work experience requirements:
At least 2 years of relevant work experience is required; OR
A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification.
Other requirements:
Strong attention to detail to achieve cleanliness and an even finish.
Good colour vision to accurately mix shades and match colours.
Time management skills to complete projects within designated timelines.
Knowledge of different paint types, tools, and techniques.
Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards.
Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
