Job Overview
The Documentation Specialist I is responsible for managing and maintaining the engineering documents, drawings, specifications, and records. This position involves the organization, cataloging, and retrieval of technical documents, ensuring accuracy, version control, and compliance with industry standards. The Documentation Specialist I collaborates with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate document-related needs, supporting efficient project execution and ensuring the integrity of critical engineering documentation.

A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and youll contribute in many ways. On any given day, youll make a difference by:

Creating, editing, and formatting a wide range of documents, including user manuals, technical specifications, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
Reviewing existing documentation for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company guidelines.
Organizing and maintaining a centralized repository for all documentation, ensuring easy access and version control.
Ensuring document compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, making updates as necessary.
Conducting research to gather technical and procedural information for documentation development.
Continuously improving documentation processes and implement best practices for efficient content creation and management.
Staying up to date with industry trends and new technologies to enhance documentation practices.
What will help you thrive in this role?
Associates Degree preferred
Proven experience as a Documentation Specialist or similar role, preferably in a technical or regulated industry (required)
Previous Document Control or equivalent experience
Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
