Equity Data Specialist

The Role:

The Equity Data team is seeking a highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual with 3+ years of experience in content writing in Equity & Financial data to join its methodology team.
This team aims to be the experts in the field of equity data, providing intelligent, valuable, and timely solutions for external and internal clients.
As an Equity Data Specialist, you will collaborate with business leaders, product managers, subject matter experts, operations team leaders, quality assurance analysts, and client/third-party stakeholders to enhance our equity data literature across various Morningstar product lines.
You will work in a global environment, communicating with stakeholders from multiple regions.
You will serve as a resource to local data analysts.
Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating client-facing documentation.
Work with subject matter experts, content researchers, and specialists to interpret and simplify specification documents.
Collaborate with product teams to define and understand client personas, needs, and workflows.
Translate client needs and workflows into concise data and product requirements.
Work with various product and data teams to implement new datasets and capabilities.
Conduct market, industry, and competitor research.
Communicate clear and concise project status information to stakeholders, including sales teams and external clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business.
CA/CFA (preferred).
Master's in communication or equivalent degree/professional qualification.
Knowledge of accounting principles and equity ratios/calculations.
Within overall 5+ years of work experience, at least 3 years of relevant work experience in writing articles on Investment, Stock Market Trends, and/or preparation of client-facing documents in the Investment Domain.
Significant experience working with customer requests and questions.
Able to take initiative and work without detailed guidance or supervision.
Able to influence colleagues without management responsibility.
Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Curious and enjoys problem-solving.
A proactive and positive attitude and a team player.
Interest in personal participation in equity markets is considered an asset.
