Job Description
Description :
Job Summary :
We are seeking a visionary and technically sound Lead Architect to spearhead the planning, design, and execution of large-scale architectural projects, with a strong focus on public infrastructure, government buildings, and urban development initiatives.
This leadership role involves end-to-end architectural ownership - from client brief interpretation and conceptualization to design detailing, stakeholder engagement, and project oversight during execution.
The ideal candidate will combine creative design thinking with a deep understanding of building codes, sustainable design, construction technologies, and project governance frameworks.
Experience working on government-funded or public sector projects is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of conceptual and schematic designs based on client briefs, site analysis, and functional needs.
- Prepare master plans, floor plans, elevations, and detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other tools.
- Translate client requirements into innovative, functional, and sustainable architectural
solutions that balance form, function, and feasibility.
- Oversee design development, integrating structural, MEP, and civil components in coordination with relevant consultants.
- Supervise and coordinate the architectural design process through all project stages - from
concept to construction documents and site handover.
- Conduct site visits, review construction progress, and ensure that design intent is accurately
executed on-site.
- Provide technical guidance to internal design teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure alignment with project timelines, cost estimates, and compliance with safety and building regulations.
- Liaise with government agencies, urban local bodies, regulatory authorities, and clients to obtain approvals and align with project objectives.
- Present architectural designs to clients, stakeholders, and review committees, incorporating feedback into iterative design changes.
- Engage with external consultants, including landscape architects, interior designers, structural and MEP engineers.
- Incorporate green building standards, energy efficiency, and sustainable design practices (e.g., GRIHA, IGBC, LEED certifications).
- Ensure adherence to local and national building codes, zoning regulations, environmental norms, and government procurement policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of architectural experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing public infrastructure, institutional buildings, urban development, or government projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, and related architectural tools.
- Deep knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, regulatory approvals, and NBC (National Building Code).
- Proven track record of leading design teams, managing timelines, and coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders
