Full job description
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our chain of bakeries and restaurants. The role requires expertise in commercial refrigeration, air conditioning units, and exhaust ventilation systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems in restaurant and bakery outlets.
Perform routine maintenance on walk-in coolers, freezers, air conditioning, and exhaust ventilation systems.
Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and refrigeration units to ensure proper functioning.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Replace faulty compressors, motors, sensors, or other components as needed.
Ensure proper airflow, refrigerant levels, and temperature settings.
Adhere to safety procedures and health regulations in food industry settings.
Maintain compliance with local and national HVAC and refrigeration codes.
Ensure proper ventilation in kitchen areas to maintain air quality and safety.
Maintain records of maintenance work, repairs, and system performance.
Report any major malfunctions or breakdowns to the Facility Manager.
Recommend system upgrades or replacements when necessary.
Requirements

Education & Certification:

Diploma/Certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field.
Valid HVAC Technician License (if required by location).
Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HVAC & refrigeration maintenance, preferably in the food service or hospitality industry.
Experience working with commercial kitchen HVAC systems, walk-in freezers, and exhaust ventilation.
Skills & Abilities:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
Ability to work independently and respond to emergency breakdowns.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with energy-efficient HVAC systems.
Knowledge of smart temperature control systems (IoT-based).
Ability to manage multiple restaurant locations.
