Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Cloud Developer; your main responsibility will be to develop and maintain financial applications and systems that utilize cloud technologies. You'll collaborate closely with finance teams and IT professionals to create scalable and secure cloud-based solutions for financial processes and operations. Your role will involve implementing best practices for managing financial data, integrating systems, automating tasks, and performing analytics within the cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cloud Application Development: Design, build, and maintain finance-related applications and systems using cloud technologies, ensuring they are scalable, performant, and secure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
• Data Integration and Automation: Develop data integration solutions to facilitate smooth exchange of financial data between different systems and platforms. Automate financial processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial operations.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize various components of cloud infrastructure, such as virtual machines, storage, and networking, to ensure reliable and cost-effective operations. Implement security measures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard financial data.
• Financial Data Analytics: Create and deploy analytics solutions to extract valuable insights from financial data. Generate dashboards, reports, and visualizations that aid data-driven decision-making within the finance department.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards pertaining to financial data management, privacy, and security. Establish appropriate controls and audit trails to uphold data integrity and meet industry-specific requirements.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with finance teams, IT professionals, and external vendors to understand business requirements and offer technical support. Collaborate on project planning, execution, and troubleshooting activities.
• Documentation and Training: Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development processes. Conduct training sessions and create user guides to empower finance team members in effectively utilizing cloud-based financial applications.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in software development and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms and services (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their offerings for finance-related applications.
• Proficiency in cloud-based data storage and management, including database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data integration frameworks (e.g., ETL, APIs).
• Knowledge of financial systems, processes, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ERP systems, financial reporting standards) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques for financial data analysis (e.g., SQL queries, data visualization, machine learning) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
